I asked a guy why he moved out of Maine. He whipped his head around and said without hesitation, “Because all Maine does is pick on the poor.” I could tell he was pegged as a “Cash Cow” and decided to leave that wicked despicable place along with thousands of others in recent years.
A former resident of Maine said,
“After living in Maine, then other places around the country… I call Maine the most pathetic place to live in the entire United States… F*ck that place…”
Relocating to another state and the unknown can be intimidating. If you grew up in Maine, they are actually counting on you being afraid and not relocating to a different state and better life. The facts are, if you want to work and get paid a fair wage where you can live without struggling, Maine is not the place. You can take any skill you may have and go anywhere else in the country and do better than living in Maine.
You have to think about
- A good Job
However, if you address these issues in a intelligent manor you can get a better job, housing & transportation in another state and be much happier than living in Maine.
Maine Sucks! – Good jobs are rare. You have the ruling class out to pilfer every last cent out of you. Cold winters, humid summers & day and night insects. Human insects and the other kind, that ruin going outside.
How to get started – Job Opportunities are the Key
List your skills on paper.
Whatever skills you have choose your favorite 1-2-3-4-5-etc.
Focus on the jobs depending on how much they pay, benefits, etc.
If you have any trade skills this is a plus.
Focus to move to a place with the best weather and the most opportunity for your skills.
Goto Indeed.com make a resume and publish in what areas you want to move to.
Give yourself a realistic time frame and stick to it.
* If Applicable: If you have a part of the country you want to go setup a Google Voice with a number that is in the area you want to live. The Google number forwards that number to your phone. You will get more reply’s with a local number than with a non local number.
Most employers want to see you in person before hire. Once you get a few potential employers in a area you want to live sell your stuff and move. Living in Maine, chances are you don’t have much to sell off anyway, you have been to busy paying never ending fines & fees as is designed.
Once you are pegged as a “Cash Cow”in Maine everything is designed to keep you there.
To keep you in the state and make sure you stay dirt poor Maine has a goal to take your drivers license for non driving related things, like not being able to pay a fine or fee.
If you have a valid drivers license, move out of Maine as quickly as possible & change residence. Their is only another excuse around the corner to take your license. It’s how they keep people a psychological hostage.
This is a state where there is no public transportation except a couple cities. This despicable trick is outright entrapment plain and simple. It is Maine’s fault you cannot find a job. They have driven every business out of the state by over regulation and over taxation making it there fault you cannot find a job and pay them. Talk about despicable blatant entrapment… Then the state wonders why people are leaving Maine and they have to let immigrants flood the state to offset the numbers of local people leaving the state.
If you don’t have a valid license move to a place with good public transportation. This should be the place where you have a few job potentials when you get there.
